The Type 100 submachine gun was a World War Two Japanese automatic weapon, designed and produced by the Nambu Arms Manufacturing Company. With the number of production between 24,000 and 27,000, it was Japanese most produced submachine gun during World War Two and its the only submachine gun which saw mass production. The design took place in 1939 as replacement of the German MP 18 and it went fast in production. Ingame, it has an 30 8x22 Nambu round magazine, a rate of fire of 700 rounds a minute (equal to the M1A1 Thompson or PPS-43) and it is also available with a silencer. The weapon can only be found with mounted cavalry (on the horses), with the officer kit or with the special force pick up kit with the Expack.
Although a Type 100 SMG model was in the works by Omni for the Forgotten Hope mod it was never incorporated in any update. The Model ingame is from the mod Light of the Rising Sun centered on the Pacific theater. The texture for the model was shared with the MP 18 which in FHSW was improved upon.
With this suppressor, the Type 100 SMG is a deadly and silent weapon. Kill your opponents on distance. Just sneak and kill them a few metres from them, they will never hear you shooting. This weapon is only used as pick-up kit with the Expack.
