This article is about the T28 super heavy tank, see here for the Soviet T-28 Medium Tank.

First known as the 105 mm Gun Motor Carriage T95, and later in 1946 as the T28  it was an American Super Heavy Tank. In the Battlefield series it saw its debut in Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of World War Two. Though, a new model was made from scratch for FHSW. It was designed during the late period of the war as a breakthrough tank against heavy fortifications and was designed as a self propelled AT-gun.  Meanwhile the Germans also designed heavy tanks like the Maus. However, it was specifically designed for the fight at the Siegfried Line, in the spring of 1945 it went into production (too late for the war in Europe). Notable is the long, wide and low profile of the tank, with its big 10.5 cm T5E1 gun, which had already been the maingun on the M6A2E1 and T29. As protection, its upper front armour was 305 mm thick, meanwhile the lower front armour was 133 mm thick, side 152 mm thick and back and roof 51 mm thick and it had a massive 298.1mm thick gunmask. Because its weight of 86 tonnes and the poor 500 Hp heavy Ford engine, the T28 had a maxumum speed of 13 km/h, which makes it a big, slow target. Notable are its two tracks on each side, and one track on each side can be removed during transport of the vehicle. You can drive the vehicle ingame with or without the removable tracks. As AA-protection, a 1.27 cm Browning M2 machine gun was placed on the roof.
