The T54 AAGMC was a self propelled anti-aircraft gun variant of the M3 halftrack mounting the 40 mm Bofors. It was tested in 1942, the gun mount proved to be unstable when fired so only the prototype was built. The model in the game has the traits of the T54E1 which was the second design for the concept that put cylindrical armor plating around the gun position. The T54E1 also added outriggers & jacks that could be deployed for additional stability for firing the gun. Nevertheless, none of the five designs for a M3 Half-track with an 40 mm Bofors were succesful enough. After the introduction M19 GMC made of the M24 Chaffee tank all development ceased.
Because of the encompassing shield around the gun protecting against small arms, the view is restricted. Another disadvantage is that the weapon can not be set downwards much and therefore can defends itself poorly at close range.
