Historical Picture
The Piper L-4 Grasshopper was an American reconnaissance aircraft, developed from the civilian Piper Cub series. The aircraft is very slow and the maximum speed is only 137 km/h. But it can take off and land on short runways. This make the aircraft good for reconnaissance jobs, but also for special secret missions. The aircraft have no guns and its a very weak target for enemy aircrafts and anti-aircraft guns. The aircraft have only 2 crew members. The pilot, who sit on the back, and the observer/passanger on the front. It entered in American service in 1941. In FHSW you can use them for both reconnaissance aircraft and for special missions. On Alpenfestung, two aircrafts are available with silent handweapons near the aircraft. It can easily land nearby the church and can also take off. Via the mouse click, its also able to spot for the artillery.
