The Pistolet-pulemyot Sudaeva 43, or PPS-43, is a Soviet submachine gun in FHSW.

In game Edit

In FHSW, the weapon is a brute weapon with a high rate of fire at 900 rpm, which it is the same rate of fire of the PPSh-41, the effective range is about 200 meters against the 150 metres from the PPSh-41. The accuracy is much better then the PPSh-41, but the magazine is a stock magazine with 35 rounds, while the PPSh-41 have the same stock magazine or a drum magazine (in game) with 71 rounds.

The Germans used the weapon as the MP719(r), abbreviation for Maschinenpistolen719(russisch). In game they use the 7.62×25mm Tokarev cartridge. But some have been converted to use the 9mm Luger cartridge.

History Edit

The PPS-43 was sometimes referred to as the best submachinegun of the Second World War. The Russian name is ППС-43 or Пистолет-пулемёт Судаева 43. Designed by Alexey Ivanovich Sudayev, wich also designed the AS-44, the PPS-42 was the first variant as answer on the request by the high command, in late 1941, to replace the PPSh-41, which it was to long for use by tank crew, mobile recon groups and paratroopers.

After some trials and modifications, a new submachine pistol went to production as the PPS-43. By 1946, nearly 2,000,000 weapons were produced.
