The battle of Kharkov was one of the longest lasting battles during the whole Second World War. After Germany was able to gain control over the area in october 1941, heavy fighting was still going on and the chances to win went to and from. After a few weeks, the first snow falling. But the winter doesn't make it easy for the Germans. The German equipment is totally unsuitable for the harsh Russian winter days! The fighting will continue until August 1943, during the Fourth Battle of Kharkov with Soviet victory. This map is converted and modified Kharkov from Battlefield 1942.
