The Jagdtiger ("Hunting Tiger") is the common name of a German tank destroyer of World War II. The official German designation was Panzerjäger Tiger Ausf. B. The ordnance inventory designation was Sd.Kfz. 186. It saw service in small numbers from late 1944 to the end of the war on both the Western and Eastern Front. Out of the 150 ordered 85 were completed. The Jagdtiger was the heaviest armored fighting vehicle operationally used during World War II. Due to an excessive weight the Jagdtiger was continuously plagued with mechanical problems.

Until v0.5 was the Jagdtiger the heaviest tank of the game (With the exception of the P.1000 Ratte) and it is the heaviest tank destroyer used by the Germans during the war and in FHSW! He is also one of the most powerful tanks in the game, the cannon is able to penetrate everything with ease. Also the Maus can be damaged if the Jagdtiger hits the tank. The frontal armor is extremely thick and only few tanks are able to even damage it.
The tank is also good against infantry because you can load HE shells that clear infantry nests quickly. If enemy players come close you can defend yourself with the Nahverteidigungswaffe or one of the machine guns. In the hull, like most medium and heavy tanks, there is an 7.92mm MG 34 machinegun but also on the roof of the engine room, on a monopod, a 7.92mm MG 42 machinegun can be found for air defence or against infantry coming from whatever angle!
The weak points of the vehicle are like in reality the low speed and how long it takes for the vehicle to turn to face enemies with the main gun and heavy frontal armour. If attacked from the flank, even medium tanks can defeat the Jagdtiger when they attack the weaker side and back armor.
The periscope on Seat 5 is very special because only few vehicles have that. It has a zoomed view and you can freely look around. You have the option to spot target for the artillery or alert the tank commander when you see an enemy tank in your flank for example. He then sees an arrow on his minimap that points in the direction you spotted.
This Jagdtiger was featured with permission from the FHSW development team in the Forgotten Hope 2 special event Forgotten Hope2: In Memoriam in rememberance of deceased Forgotten Hope developers Armin Ace, Chad509, Engineer and Rad. It was featured in the remake of Alpenfestung.

Due to delays there was a lack of 128 mm guns so some Jagdtiger tanks were fitted with the long 88 mm gun similar to the Königstiger or Elefant. Because of the large size of the vehicle both the reload speed is faster and ammunition capacity higher than on other tanks with this gun. It also benefits from higher power optics and the armour is even greater than on the Elefant.
One of the reasons this tank variant was introduced was as an alternative to the 44M Rohamloveg "Jagdtas" as it became clear that tank was complete fiction.

This variant is almost identical with the standard Jagdtiger, the main difference is the gas turbine engine which makes it now one of the fastest tanks in FHSW. The main weakness from the regular tank is gone and it's therefore extremely difficult to defeat. If this Jagdtiger is driven by an experienced tanker it's almost impossible without support from dive bombers. However, since v0.5, the tank is standard and have be modified. When its slows down and turns, the speed goes low.

This variant of the Jagdtiger has the same main gun as the first Jagdtiger model but with further modifications done. As the engine has been moved to front and the super structure to back this variant is more "compact" than the other variants, since the barrel does not stick out as far from vehicle.

A Jagdtiger Entwurf II with an even longer canon. This concept was a project from Krupp to lenghten and increase the performance of the main gun. But this lead to problems outside combat such as in transporting the vehicle and made it unfeasible to be used on this chassis as a tank destroyer that would be mobile enough in combat. Though there were plans to use it as artillery.
Some vehicles are only painted in the red primer coat with decals put on. This happened with many tanks late in the war due to lack of time and cost issues.
