Guadalcanal (Battlefield 1942)The Guadalcanal Campaign, also known as the Battle of Guadalcanal and codenamed Operation Watchtower by Allied forces, was a military campaign fought between 7 August 1942 and 9 February 1943 on and around the island of Guadalcanal in the Pacific theatre of World War II. It was the first major offensive by Allied forces against the Empire of Japan.
Surrounded with the Sea, the Americans at the North and Japanese soldiers at south, will face to face the enemy on the hills of the Island. What was the Outpost flag in the original Battlefield 1942 version has been replaced with the Bloody ridge at the top of a hill. The Japanese bunker flag has also been redone but otherwise the map itself is mostly the same. Meanwhile will the airforce dominate the sky and the navy the sea.
Both sides begin with a destroyer, a cruiser and a submarine will arrive depending on the other sides' control of the island.
