The PT boats of the Elco 103 type are larger and more heavily armed than the Elco 80. They offer a surprisingly powerful armament, which makes life difficult for enemy fighter-bombers and landing craft. The boat also rapidly reaches its top speed, so it can avoid enemy fire frequently.
In contrast to the Elco 80 the Elco 103 can fire four instead of two torpedoes in a very short time span, but it has to avoid mines.
