Summer 1941, Northern Crete has fallen to an airborne assault by German Fallschirmjäger and Gebirgsjäger.

Cretan village with planes

Only pockets of British and Commonwealth resistance remain in the coastal villages on the south of the island. Fallschirmjäger are being parachuted in to mop up this Allied resistance, they must clear the island village by village...

Bases[]

Mountain Village[]

As soon as the German paratroopers land on the ground they will secure the village of Zaros in the mountains. From this position they can grab kits that call on air support, deploy mortars and grab other specialists kits for the assault.

Checkpoint[]

The British road checkpoint has a machine gun emplacement and some cover. The nearby temple ruins are also a vantage point. It can not be recaptured by the British and the Germans will get mortars and machine guns overlooking the next base once it is captured. The Germans can also drop off by parachute over the river to get even closer to the next objective, Village.

Village[]

The large village with a mosque is next objective and a central point. By the bridge and stone walls leading up to the village is a 2 pounder gun that can pose a threat to any oncoming German transport vehicle. The town square and the mosque can be watched over from the many buildings and there are planks that can connect the roofs of many of the buildings. If it is taken by the Germans the British will slowly lose but to take it back they are reinforced with an APC and Light Tank Mk VI. The New Zealand flag is raised here by the Allied forces.

AA Battery[]

The AA Battery can be taken at any time but it functions as the primary base for the British. There are three 40 mm AA guns to protect against air attacks. The Australian flag is used here.
