Developed rom the 1920s by Swedish arms manufacturer Bofors 40-mm Bofors gun is still used by many armies. A fast rate of fire and high muzzle velocity made it an effective multi-purpose weapon. This gun was there as a double trailer (MDL - Navy double carriage) in different versions. It has also been used on ships for air defense and combat against naval targets.
The model from Battlefield 1942 is unchanged in Forgotten Hope. Penetrating power of the gun is more like the original, and also compared to the 2 cm Flak 38. According to their intended role she is well suited to destroy enemy aircraft in the near to medium-range, heavy bomber like the Junkers Ju 88 but this can plug in quite a few hits. Since the projectiles fly relatively slowly and aircraft are very fast, it is necessary that aim holds up very far to meet his goal.

With the Bofors you also can destroy ligth aromoured vehicles and even tanks, but however, the problem is that the gun can not be addressed under the horizontal or if sandbags are on the way.Gun can also overheat, thus compensating for this part again. The Bofors has now correct magazine, the reload time is so short, that is hard to notice. Unlikely in Forgotten Hope, in FHSW you see individual cartridges in the magazine of the Bofors. It was also animated that the number of these decreases with each shot and empty shells are ejected backwards.

This is a development of the British Bofors with incredibly high rate of fire of six Bofors guns and an almost impenetrable hail of bullets in the sky. The effect is amplified further by the fact that the dispersion of the projectiles is relatively large, which makes it difficult, but at the same time the selective, firing to a single aircraft.

The Bofors Mark VI used only on the British HMS Lion and on some maps as stationary AA-Gun. Like on Gazapus.
